Brooke Stubbs, MD and Jamie Javed, RN meet through their shared passion for plant-based nutrition. They have both felt the benefits of a healthy diet and well-rounded lifestyle and are excited to share that feeling with you.

Dr. Stubbs is a wife, mom of two, and double board-certified physician by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She graduated with honors from University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where she also fulfilled her intern training. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Dell Medical School at University of Texas at Austin. She holds a Masters degree in Nutrition from Columbia University. She left her hospitalist position and found her passion when she started Rooted Femme, a lifestyle focused medical practice, in 2021. She is also the founder of Rooted Food, a smart phone application set to launch March 2022, as a fun, easy way to help people get a variety of plant foods in their diet.

Jamie is a registered nurse with eight years of experience in emergency, trauma, and critical care. She is now a stay-at-home mom to three littles, wife to a critical care physician, self-proclaimed and taught plant-based chef. She is raising a family grounded in a plant-based lifestyle. She believes life has been preparing her to use her knowledge gained through bedside nursing, her passion for people, health and wellness, and her ability to speak into others to create a bigger change in our community toward holistic health. Her purpose has now become her full time passion and mission. That is why she is here on That Rooted Feeling to gift to others with that same vitality.

They are constantly progressing in their own journeys and bringing you the knowledge and information that has been scientifically proven and that they have implemented in their own lives.

The road to optimal health starts with a great foundation in the physical body. We take care of our bodies by eating right, exercising, avoiding toxins, and getting adequate rest. Brooke and Jamie will bring you practical information to help you incorporate health promoting practices into your daily lives, so you too can build that solid foundation for all life has in store for you.

Healthy Mindset

Total wellness cannot be achieved without also tending to mental health. Mental health is more than being happy and positive. It is an inner sense of well being that provides security and meaning to life. Brooke and Jamie are passionate about using and sharing tools such as meditation, connectedness, and reflection to cultivate a strong sense of inner peace and knowing.
